Our Mission

We provide financial, spiritual, and physical support and encouragement to our Honduran partner, Asociación Clínica San Lucas Lempira, as they serve the people of Gracias, Lempira and Western Honduras. We strive to put Christ’s love into action by walking alongside them through participation in medical and dental brigades.

The Board

Clinica Medica San Lucas was started in 1994 by five couples: Mark and Becky Veenstra, Bob and Deborah Sterken, Bob and Kathy Bates, Craig and Karen Hall, and David and Cindy Veenstra. They partnered with Carlos Mendoza, a Honduran minister in Gracias, Honduras.

In 2020, our group separated from the Luke Society to form a new non-profit, Clinica San Lucas Gracias.  A new board was formed to direct this new entity and its purpose is to support Clinica Medica San Lucas in Honduras.
